No, don’t worry – this isn’t about recommending a place you should play golf. It’s about stepping back in time! If you’re making a visit to Cooperstown (which you should) on the north end of Otsego lakes sits “one of America’s oldest courses” (est. 1894). The small clubhouse is full of amazing golf memorabilia and pictures of famous folks who wandered through. The Porch & Pub off the backside is a great place to have lunch and look out at the lake. Quaffing a local Red Shed beer is highly recommended. Warning: the driveway in cuts right across the first hole. Watch for flying objects!
